TRUSTING

LOVE pouring out
to small inquiring eyes,
faithful through the years,
kindles portent to be wise.

Struggle will ensue
with evil and its ways;
“Good” will seem obscure,
“Evil” beckoning all his days.
           
God will woo that child;
Love will do its best;
only yearning hearts
discern a path that finds God’s Rest.
